CIP4 Interop #44 in Munich, 11-15 March
The 44th bi-annual CIP4 Interop took place in Munich, Germany, hosted by Fogra.
There were representatives from companies that have implemented (X)JDF - integration of MIS/ERP, workflow management systems or special device drivers. Attendance was quite high with over 20 registered participants.
The first two days were, as always, very active for peer-to-peer testing, and each developer had a great opportunity to test the interoperability of their (X)JDF implementations in person. Wednesday afternoon through Friday was reserved for face-to-face meetings to discuss our latest document edits and releases, as well as implementations of vendor requests.
As usual, all participants met for a social gathering on Wednesday evening, this time started with a historical walk through Munich and ended up in one of Munich's famous brewery pubs for a hearty dinner.
Thanks to Fogra, the well-known printing research institute and source of colour standards. They have been a great host.
